FIRSTCUT CABINETS Kitchen remodeling
OUR HISTORY
My early interest in woodworking began in high school shop class, as it does for many boys then and now. While still in school, I began working at a commercial furniture factory in Phoenix when the giant waterbed craze was in full bloom. The next phase of my career found me working at a high volume production line firm where speed and quality were both necessary. Upon moving to Tucson in 1979, I had my first exposure to the niche market of custom built cabinetry. My mentor was a patriarch of sorts; I worked alongside his sons as part of a family of skilled and caring woodworkers. What I learned here was not just mechanical skill and precision execution, but the personal relationship side of this field. I saw that our customers lived with our creations all day every day for years—even decades—and the need to create something of lasting durability and beauty was the goal. After six years of tutelage and apprenticeship, I took what seemed like a bold step at the time. The sole proprietorship I called First Cut Cabinets became a reality. Hundreds of customers from Nogales to Flagstaff have found me, referred me, and come back to me again and again for ever bigger and more elaborate projects because they know I will treat their ideas with respect. I will listen, not dictate. I will exceed, not just meet their expectations. I will deliver on time and on budget and stand behind my work. Thank you for considering me for your next job.
